CASTINE, Maine – Maine Maritime men's basketball fell to UMaine-Farmington 90-54 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) matchup on Saturday afternoon.
How it Happened: The Mariners and Beavers went back-and-forth in the first 13 minutes of the game, knotting the score at 20 with seven minutes to go in the first half. From there, the Beavers started to get hot, taking an 11-point lead at halftime.
In the second half, the Mariners tried cutting into the Beavers lead but couldn't ever finish the job. The Beavers took a 90-54 victory over the Mariners.
Inside the Numbers:
- Connor Tuerff (Hendersonville, Tenn.) tallied 13 points, three rebounds, and one assist.
- Markus Ramirez (Colorado Springs, Colo.) recorded 11 points, two rebounds, one assist, and one steal.
- Curt Heinz had a double-double with 10 points and 15 rebounds, along with one block, and one assist.
- Three Beavers had 17 points, while Zachary Mickle chipped in 12 off the bench.
- Maine Maritime shot 32.8% from the hardwood and 24.4% from the three point line, while the Beavers shot 47.9% from the floor and 38.9% from three point land.
