LEWISTON, Maine – Maine Maritime men's lacrosse falls to Bates College 24-2 in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday evening.

How it Happened: Bates College started off strong, scoring five goals in the first quarter. They continued to build their lead in the second quarter, scoring nine goals against the Mariners to make the score 14-0 going into halftime.

The second half was more of the same action, with the Bobcats dominating play. After scoring 10 points in the second half, the Mariners were able to find the back of the net for two goals by
Trey Marcil (Gansevoort, N.Y.) and
Jayden Wilson (Lewiston, Maine) but it was too little too late as the Bobcats took a 24-2 win.

- Wilson tallied one goal, two ground balls, and one caused turnover.
- Marcil recorded one goal and two ground balls.
- Wil Masterson scored five goals, while two other Bobcats had three goals each.
- Garrett Ruszkowski (Saugus, Mass.) tallied 13 saves, while Zach McCarthy recorded 12 for the Mariners. Garrett Fitzsimon tallied four saves for the Bobcats.
- Bates College held a 78-23 advantage in shots and a 65-30 edge in ground balls over the Mariners.
