Sam Nichol (Concord, N.H.) hits a game-winning goal to send the Mariners to a 12-11 victory over SUNY Delhi in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) matchup on Friday evening.

How it Happened: SUNY Delhi got off to a quick 3-0 start before
Jayden Wilson (Lewiston, Maine) and
Caden White (Woodstock, Vt.) hit back-to-back goals to get within one of the Broncos. The Broncos continued to put pressure on the Mariners, scoring four straight goals to take a 7-2 lead. The Mariners scored two more goals in the second quarter to make the score 7-4 going into halftime.

The two teams went back-and-forth in the third quarter, before the Mariners went on a five-goal run to take the lead 11-10 with a goal from
Oliver Bird (Brunswick, Maine). The Broncos tied the game up with five minutes left on the clock, but the Mariners answered with a goal from Nichol with 2:28 left on the clock. Maine Maritime was able to hold onto their lead, taking a 12-11 victory.

Inside the Numbers:
- Wilson and Nichol led the Mariners with three goals each, while White added two to the mix.
- Four other Mariners chipped in one goal each.
- Jed Astbury (Bridgewater, Vt.) recorded seven ground balls and went 12-26 on the faceoff.
- Four Broncos had four goals, while Anthony Ferrato recorded 10 ground balls for the Broncos.
- Garrett Ruszkowski (Saugus, Mass.) had 11 saves for the Mariners, while Samuel Steng tallied nine saves for the Broncos.
- SUNY Delhi held a 43-32 advantage in shots and a 39-27 edge in ground balls over the Mariners.
