CASTINE, Maine – Maine Maritime women's lacrosse beat NVU-Lyndon 22-0 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) matchup on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened: The Mariners set the tone for the rest of the game in the first quarter when they scored nine consecutive goals sparked by
Lily Cook (Southwest Harbor, Maine) in the first minute of the game. Maine Maritime continued to extend their lead in the second quarter, scoring four unanswered goals.

The Mariners closed on the second half with a total of nine goals to wrap up the game with a score of 22-0.

Inside the Numbers:
- Hazel Stoddard (Old Orchard Beach, Maine) led the Mariners with four goals, along with 11 draw controls, eight ground balls and three caused turnovers.
- Cook also had four goals and two assists, to go with one caused turnover.
- Rebecca Caron added three goals and one assist, along with four caused turnovers, three draw controls, and two ground balls to the mix.
- Three Mariners scored two goals each and another three each had one goal.
- Kiara Mack tallied seven draw controls, five ground balls, and four caused turnovers for the Hornets.
- Ella Bowes (Valley Lee, Md.) recorded three saves for the win, while Rachel Palladino had 16 saves for the Hornets.
- Maine Maritime held a 51-7 advantage in shots and a 30-15 edge in ground balls over the Hornets.
