LYNDONVILLE, Vt. – Maine Maritime men's lacrosse beat NVU-Lyndon 28-2 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) matchup on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened: The Mariners dominated the first quarter of action, outscoring the Hornets 12-0 sparked by
Jacob Belanger (Brunswick, Maine) who found the back of the net in the first two minutes of action. Maine Maritime continued to extend their lead in the second quarter, going into the half with a score of 18-1.

The Mariners dominated the second half as well, outscoring the Hornets 10-1 and taking a 28-2 victory.

Inside the Numbers:
- Myles Mayhew-Reilly (Wolfeboro, N.H.) scored four goals and dished out seven assists, while picking up eight ground balls and causing for turnovers.
- Sam Nichol (Concord, N.H.) tallied four goals and one assist, in addition to a ground ball and on caused turnover.
- Brendan Reddington (Wallingford, Conn.) netted three goals and one ground ball.
- Four Mariners had two goals each and nine Mariners had one goal each.
- Jed Astbury (Bridgewater, Vt.) went 21-26 from the faceoff and picked up 16 ground balls.
- Bodhi English and Foster Smallman each tallied one goal for NVU-Lyndon.
- Teddy Easley (Katy, Texas) got the win for the Mariners with one save, while Matt McGeehan recorded four saves for the Hornets.
- Maine Maritime held a 50-10 advantage in shots and a 50-16 edge in ground balls over the Hornets.
