LYNDONVILLE, Vt. –
Isaiah Oquendo earned a double-double on 11 points and a career high 14 rebounds in the Mariners men's basketball (6-9, 1-5) North Atlantic Conference (NAC) matchup against the Vermont State Lyndon Hornets (1-16,1-6). The Mariners fell to the Hornets 102-80.

Oquendo also ended the night with two assists.
Markus Ramirez led the Mariners with 12 points. Ramirez added two rebounds and two assists.

The Mariners opened the contest scoring the first eight points unanswered with back to back threes from
C.J. Lilljeqvist and
Carter Rubin followed by another jumper from Lilljeqvist. The Hornets battled back, and the game stayed close throughout the first. The Mariners went into halftime down by six, 48-42.

The second half opened with the Hornets scoring five quick points. The Mariners attempted to battle back including a six-point run in the half but could not regain their lead.

Mondwell Bukle led all scorers ending with 19 points, three rebounds, and one steal for the Hornets.
