AUGUSTA, Maine –
Curt Heinz scored a career high 31 points in the Mariners 86-77 win over the University of Maine Augusta Moose (8-6) bringing them to 6-5 on the season.

Along with a new collegiate high from Heinz he also earned a double-double with 16 rebounds and three assists, two blocks, and one steal.
First year forward
Jack Banks also scored a new collegiate high for the Mariners ending the night with 12 points.

With the game tied at 17 a piece in the first,
Carter Rubin nailed a three to give the Mariners the lead with 7:27 left in the half. The Mariners held onto their lead and went into halftime with a 39-31 lead.

The Mariners came out strong in the second scoring the first six points unanswered. Maine Maritime held onto their lead for the entirety of the second half and closed out the contest in their nine point victory.

Maine Maritime return home on Saturday, Jan. 6 for a North Atlantic Conference match against Husson University at 4:00 pm.
