John-John Dickenson scored the game-winning goal in the 66th minute to lift Maine Maritime over host Husson, 2-1, in an important North Atlantic Conference men's soccer victory at Boucher Field on Wednesday evening. As a result of the Mariners' (6-7-2 overall) first regular-season sweep of the Eagles in five years, they up their conference record in the NAC East Division standings to 5-3-1. Husson, which lost 2-0 on Oct. 5 in Castine, falls to 8-5-3 on the season and 5-4-1 in the NAC-East.

- Mario Alvarez scored for the Eagles and Alejandro Castellanos also made the scoresheet with an assist.
How It Happened
- Dickenson broke a 1-1 tie with 24 minutes and 16 seconds left in the game with a strong right-footed shot inside the left post from near the top of the penalty area. Nichols sent a nice through-ball up the right wing to send Dickenson on his way.
- Husson tied it up 1-all on Alvarez's goal in the 58th minute.
- Morgan staked the Mariners to a 1-0 lead with his fourth goal in the 14th minute. Wilkinson made a nice right-wing cross inside the box to Morgan, who one-timed the shot past the goalkeeper.
- Husson outshot MMA 12-7 (including 4-2 SOG), but the Mariners held a 3-0 advantage on corner kicks.
- After Dickenson's go-ahead goal, the Eagles had five of the game's last seven shots but the MMA defense wasn't threatened.

- Before this season, MMA last swept Husson in 2019 with 2-0 and 5-1 scores.
