WATERVILLE, Maine –
Erianna Moore scored a dozen points, hauled in seven rebounds, dished out three assists and blocked a shot to lead Maine Maritime in a 66-45 win at Thomas College on Saturday. The win brings the Mariners' streak to 13-in-a-row, improving their season record to 19-4 (11-0 NAC East). Thomas slipped to 9-14 (6-5 NAC East).
Maine Maritime raced out to an 8-0 lead and never looked back.
Maria Barela opened the scoring followed by a pair of
Evelyn Dagan treys. Dagan finished the game with 14 points, two steals and a rebound. Barela scored six points and pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds. Coming off of the bench,
Hailey Blanchard contributed 10 points, a pair of rebounds and blocked a shot in her 14 minutes.
Thomas got right points, five rebounds and two steals from Sky Kubwalo. The Terriers got 30 of their 45 points from the bench.
Maine Maritime will look to pick up the season's 20
th win on Monday when the teams meet again. That matchup will take place in Smith Gym in Castine. Another Mariners victory would secure the program's eight 20-win season since its inception in 1996-1997.
