CASTINE, Maine – Maine Maritime women's lacrosse beat UMaine-Farmington, 20-3 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) matchup on Sunday afternoon. Eight Mariners scored in the win.

Rebecca Caron set the tone early for the Mariners, scoring within the first minute of action off a free position shot.
Chloe Coombs quickly followed with her only goal of afternoon off a pass from
Hazel Stoddard. The Mariners continued to put nine more goals in the net, making the score 11-0 in the first quarter. Maine Maritime pulled back in the second quarter, scoring three goals from
Aubrey Mitchell, Stoddard and
Lillian Diversi to go into the half with a 14-point lead.

The Mariners continued to dominate the match in the third quarter, scoring four goals. The Beavers came alive in the fourth quarter, scoring three consecutive goals but it was too little too late. Maine Maritime capped off the game with two goals from Stoddard and
Reade Carmichael to take a 20-3 victory.

Stoddard had a record day for the Mariners. She scored seven goals and dished out seven assists for a total of 14 points to set program single-game records for assists and points.

Maine Maritime held advantages in ground balls, draw controls, and shots over the Beavers.
Ella Bowes spent all 60 minutes in net for the Mariners, making five saves. Skyy Cotnoir and Kate Nowell split time in net for the Beavers, making six and three saves respectively.

Maine Maritime returns to action on Saturday, April 20
th when they travel to Vermont to take on NVU-Lyndon in NAC action.
