LYNDONVILLE, Vt. – Maine Maritime women's lacrosse beat NVU-Lyndon in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) matchup 21-4 on Saturday morning.

Hazel Stoddard, and
Lillian Diversi each had five goals in the match to lead the Mariners.

Diversi hit the first goal for the Mariners about a minute into the match off a pass from Stoddard. Mitchell and
Bella Scolaro followed up with two more goals for Maine Maritime. The Mariners continued to dominate the first quarter, scoring seven more goals to the Hornets two to make the score 10-2 going into the second quarter. Mitchell scored four goals for the Mariners in the second quarter, while Stoddard added one to extend the Mariners lead to 15-3 going into the half.

Maine Maritime continued controlling the game in the third period, outscoring the Hornets 4-0 in the 15-minute period. Stoddard and
Frances Spangler ended the fourth period for the Mariners with a goal each to end the match with a score of 21-4 in favor of Maine Maritime.

Maine Maritime outshot the Hornets 37-9 and held a 20-8 advantage in ground balls. The Mariners also won 19 out of 26 draw controls.

Ella Bowes played all 60 minutes for the Mariners, making three saves, while Alyssa Gerrish and Bridget Denio split time in net for the Hornets, making one and 11 saves respectively.

Maine Maritime returns to action tomorrow, April 21 at 12:00pm when they take on Morrisville State College in NAC action and for senior day.
