FARMINGTON, Maine – Maine Maritime women's lacrosse beat UMaine-Farmington 21-6 in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday evening.
Lillian Diversi and
Rebecca Caron were high scorers on the afternoon, connecting on six goals each.

The Beavers broke the ice first with a goal one minute into the competition. Maine Maritime quickly answered with six consecutive goals, sparked by Diversi, followed up by
Aubrey Mitchell with three goals, another from Diversi, and one from
Bella Scolaro. UMaine-Farmington ended the period with a goal to make the score 6-2 going into the second quarter. The Mariners dominated the second quarter, outscoring the Beavers 9-1 to extend their lead to 12 going into the half.

Maine Maritime continued to hold onto their lead in the second half. Mitchell, Caron, and Diversi scored in the third quarter for the Mariners, while the Beavers scored two. Maine Maritime scored three more goals in the fourth quarter to extend their lead and take a 21-6 victory.

Maine Maritime outshot the Beavers 43-16 and held 16-14 edge in ground balls and a 25-5 advantage in draw controls.
Ella Bowes spent all 60 minutes in net for the Mariners, making seven saves while Kate Nowell made 15 saves.Â

The Mariners will wrap up the regular season against Husson University on Saturday, April 27 at 3:30pm in Bangor for a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) matchup.
