Kirra Magaña scored a pair of goals, including the go-ahead tally in the 60th minute, to help lead the Maine Maritime Academy women's soccer team to a 3-2 victory Sunday over visiting University of New England in non-conference action at Ritchie Field. Both teams are now 1-1 overall.

How it Happened
- Magaña scored her second goal of the afternoon to break a 2-2 tie, giving MMA an immediate response after Keyes' goal just 19 seconds earlier.
- Junior Maya Brown gave MMA a 1-0 advantage in the 21st minute on assists from Magaña and Stoddard. The latter pushed the ball up to Magana who fed a through-ball to Brown, who ripped a shot off the keeper's hand.
- In the 24th minute, Kylie Curtin passed to Keyes for her first goal of the day to knot the score 1-1.
- The teams went into halftime with MMA holding a 2-1 lead after Magaña headed home a Taylor Webster corner kick into the goal in the 33rd minute.
- UNE outshot MMA 15-14, but the hosts had 10 on goal to seven for the visitors.
- The Mariners backline executed to perfection numerous offside traps.
