CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--The Maine Maritime Academy women's volleyball team wrapped up MIT Invitational play here on Saturday at the Rockwell Cage, falling to the nationally No. 13-ranked Engineers, 25-19, 25-11, 25-20, and Colby College, 25-14, 25-18, 25-23.
Sophomore
Ally Hadley led Maine Maritime by earning selection to the MIT Invitational All-Tournament Team. For the weekend, she recorded 17 kills, 26 assists, three service aces and 18 digs.
Against MIT, junior
Ila Smith notched six kills and freshman
Hannah Tate reached double-digit digs for the fourth match in a row with 10. The Engineers were able to outhit MMA, .418 to .101.
Versus Colby, senior
Katie Albritton produced match highs of 20 assists and seven digs. Sophomore
Sydney Williams added a match-high-tying nine kills on a .350 attack percentage.
Maine Maritime returns to action on Wednesday with a non-conference home date against Bates College at Smith Gymnasium, starting at 6 p.m.
