LYNDONVILLE, Vt. — Maine Maritime Academy men's soccer senior
John-John Dickenson tallied a first-half hat trick in the Mariners' 9-0 North Atlantic Conference road win over Vermont State University Lyndon on Saturday.
Maine Maritime (3-2-5, 1-1-3 NAC) scored in the 10th minute for the eventual game-winning goal, with Dickenson converting a pass from junior
Dillon Wilkinson for the first of his three first-half goals.
Dickenson added his second goal two minutes later on an assist from sophomore
Garrison Fisher in the 12th minute and completed the hat trick in the 19th minute to give the Mariners a commanding 3-0 lead.
Juniors
Aiden Burr and
Josh Martin scored the next two goals, while freshman
Carson Luedtke collected his first collegiate goal in the 32nd minute off a pass from junior
James Baur. Luedtke and Baur combined again in the 41st minute, with Luedtke assisting Baur to extend the lead to 7-0 at halftime.
Junior
Mason Quiet scored in the 58th minute, and an own goal late in the match allowed Maine Maritime to finish with a 9-0 win.
The Mariners held a 40-1 advantage in shots, including a 21-1 edge in shots on goal.
Maine Maritime closes out its trip to Vermont Sunday with a 2:30 p.m. matchup against Vermont State University Johnson.
