CASTINE, Maine — The Maine Maritime Academy men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Colby College at home Tuesday evening in non-conference action.
Colby (5-4-3) scored the eventual game-winning goal in the 12th minute before adding an insurance goal in the 37th minute to take a 2-0 lead into halftime against Maine Maritime (4-3-5).
The Mariners held the Mules in check over the final 45 minutes, as freshman
Kole Wayman turned away four Colby scoring attempts to keep the match at 2-0.
Colby finished the night with a 26-5 advantage in shots and a 7-2 edge in shots on goal.
Maine Maritime hosts the University of Maine at Presque Isle on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in a North Atlantic Conference matchup at Ritchie Field.
