LEXINGTON, Mass. — The Maine Maritime Academy women's soccer team battled one of the top teams in the North Atlantic Conference, falling 2-1 on the road Sunday after trailing 2-0.
Lesley (8-3-6, 6-0-2 NAC) took a 1-0 lead in Sunday's conference matchup with a goal in the 20th minute and held that advantage heading into halftime.
The Lynx added another goal in the 57th minute to extend their lead to 2-0, but Maine Maritime (10-6-0, 5-2-0 NAC) didn't go down without a fight. Sophomore

Charlotte Manes in the 62nd minute to cut the deficit to 2-1, but Lesley held on for the hard-fought win.
Lesley finished the afternoon with an 11-8 edge in shots and an 8-5 advantage in shots on goal. Junior
Isa Thesing recorded six saves for the Mariners, while Stoddard landed all three of her shot attempts on frame.
Maine Maritime closes out the 2025 regular season on Saturday, hosting Husson University in a pivotal NAC matchup beginning at noon.
