CASTINE, Maine — Maine Maritime Academy women's soccer sophomore Hadley Stoddard punched in her league-leading 18th goal in the 75th minute to help the Mariners earn a 1-1 draw with Husson University in their regular-season finale at home on Saturday.

Husson (11-4-2, 7-0-2 NAC) and Maine Maritime (10-6-1, 6-2-1 NAC) battled to a scoreless first half in Saturday's North Atlantic Conference showdown.

The Eagles broke through in the 69th minute with a goal off a free kick, but Stoddard answered six minutes later to even the score at 1-1.

Husson held a 23-6 advantage in shots, while the Mariners put three on target and nearly found the net twice in the first half when attempts hit the crossbar and bounced away.

Junior goalkeeper Isa Thesing made six saves for Maine Maritime. Junior Abby Wong, Stoddard, freshman Tarin Barrett, and junior Sophia Hernandez each recorded shot attempts.

The Mariners will host Thomas College on Wednesday at 5 p.m. in the quarterfinals of the North Atlantic Conference Tournament.
