CASTINE, Maine – The Maine Maritime Academy women's basketball team opened North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play with a commanding 85-32 victory over SUNY Delhi on Friday night at Smith Gymnasium.

The Mariners set the tone early, building a double-digit lead in the first quarter and maintaining control throughout. 

Hailey Blanchard led the way with 13 points, seven rebounds, three assists, a steal, and a block, while Evelyn Dagan contributed 12 points, three rebounds, two blocks, an assist, and a steal. Addison Forry finished just shy of a double-double, with eight points and a career-high 10 rebounds.

With the win, Maine Maritime improves to 1-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play, while the Broncos drop to 0-5 overall and 0-1 in the NAC. The Mariners return to action tomorrow when they host SUNY Cobleskill at 3:00 p.m.
