CASTINE--Four Maine Maritime Academy student-athletes registered a hat trick and the defense limited Thomas College to just eight shots, as the Mariners dominated the visiting Terriers, 18-3, in North Atlantic Conference women's lacrosse action at Ritchie Field on Thursday evening. Maine Maritime improves to 8-1 on the season and 4-0 in the NAC, while Thomas drops to 1-8 overall and 0-4 in the conference.Â

- Maine Maritime raced to a 6-1 lead after the first quarter and built a 9-1 lead at halftime while not being seriously threatened in the second half.
- Hazel Stoddard bookended a pair of goals around a tally from Caron as MMA took a 3-0 advantage with 7 minutes and 12 seconds left in the opening stanza.
- Emily Wallingford got Thomas on the scoreboard 70 seconds later.
- The Mariners then went on a 7-0 run that spanned three quarters for a 10-1 cushion at the 12:06 mark of the third.
- Junior Jasmine Anderson, who joined the team mid-season, netted her first career tally to give MMA a 15-3 lead with 8:28 remaining in the fourth quarter.
- Maine Maritime scored the final eight goals of the game to seal the win.
