CASTINE--The Maine Maritime Academy women's lacrosse team tied the program record with its ninth win of the season and moved to 9-1 for the first time in school history after doubling up visiting UMaine-Farmington, 16-7, in North Atlantic Conference play at Ritchie Field on Saturday afternoon. Maine Maritime, which also guaranteed a spot in the upcoming NAC Tournament championship game, is now 5-0 in the conference, while the Beavers fall to 2-8 on the season and 1-3 in the NAC.

- The teams traded the first four goals with Diversi accounting for leads of 1-0 and 2-1 before Hazel Stoddard put the Mariners in front for good with her first of the day with 3 minutes and 12 seconds left in the first quarter.
- Maine Maritime, which never trailed, stretched the advantage to 4-2 when sophomore Bella Scolaro (2g, 1a) opened the scoring in the second quarter at the 14:52 mark.
- After Diversi made it 5-2 at the 11:50 mark, the teams traded the next four goals as MMA went into halftime up 7-4.
- The Mariners took control in the third quarter by outscoring the Beavers 4-0 to take a commanding 11-4 advantage.
