School Record Set with 10th Victory as Rebecca Caron Surpasses 100-Point Plateau

Maine Maritime also extends program records with 10-game win streak and 10-1 start

CASTINE--Junior Rebecca Caron reached the 100-point mark, sophomore Abby Wong scored her first two career goals, and freshman Margaret Sledge also tallied her first collegiate tally, to help power the Maine Maritime Academy women's lacrosse team to an 18-3 victory against fellow North Atlantic Conference member Thomas College in a non-conference matchup at Ritchie Field on Monday evening.

Maine Maritime set the program record with its 10th win of the season (10-1) and extended its team-benchmark 10-game winning streak, while the visiting Terriers are now 1-9 overall.

  • Caron finished with a game-high four goals and five points.
  • Senior Hazel Stoddard also had five points on a pair of goals and three assists, plus three ground balls and three draw controls.
  • Senior Kirra Magana and sophomore Bella Scolaro each added two goals and two assists.

  • Thomas was held off the scoreboard until 11 minutes and 56 seconds showing on the clock in the second quarter; MMA led 9-1 at that point.
