WATERVILLE, Maine – With a perfect 5-0 record in conference play, Maine Maritime Academy has earned the top seed in the 2025 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men's Lacrosse Tournament.
As the No. 1 seed, the Mariners will host the four-team tournament next Saturday and Sunday, May 3-4, at Ritchie Field in Castine. Game times for all three contests will be announced on Monday, April 28, and posted on the NAC and Maine Maritime websites.
Saturday's semifinal matchups feature Maine Maritime (5-0 NAC, 8-5 overall) against No. 4 Husson University (2-3 NAC, 8-7) and No. 2 SUNY Delhi (4-1 NAC, 10-4) versus No. 3 Thomas College (3-2 NAC, 4-10). The Mariners defeated the Eagles, 18-9 at home on April 16, in a result that clinched the conference's No. 1 seed and gave the team eight straight wins against its local rival.
Maine Maritime, which last finished the NAC season unbeaten in 2023 at 9-0, tops the conference this spring in every offensive statistical categories: 16.85 goals, 12.23 assists, 29.08 points, 52.69 shots, 33.0 shots on goal per game, as well as a .320 shooting percentage. Freshman

Brendan Reddington has posted a school-record 45 assists to lead the conference and he has a team- and career-high 70 points to rank second in the NAC.

Brandon Melville, has piloted Maine Maritime to a 26-3 conference record, and the Mariners are seeking their third NAC tournament title--and the first since 2023--in four seasons.
Semifinal winners will advance to the NAC Championship game on Sunday, May 4, with the champion earning the conference's automatic qualifier to the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship, which begins on Wednesday, May 7.
