Brendan Reddington registered game highs of five goals and six points, and classmate
Sam Nichol added a hat trick, to help top seed Maine Maritime Academy capture the North Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse Tournament title with a thrilling 14-12 comeback victory over second-seeded SUNY-Delhi on Sunday afternoon at Ritchie Field.
The Mariners, who have won a season's best six games in a row, improve to 10-5 overall, while the Broncos end their season at 11-5. Maine Maritime gains the NAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship and will learn its fate on the NCAA Selection Show that airs later tonight at 9 p.m. on

- Benjamin Moscatiello and Shane Vonkampen led the Broncos with three goals apiece.
- Jagger Beachak had a team-high five points on four assists.
- Anthony Ferrato went 15-for-27 on face-offs and scooped up a game-high nine ground balls.
- Chris Lazazzaro also had three points on two goals and an assist.
How it Happened
- Delhi had leads of 5-0 with 3 minutes and 52 seconds remaining in the second quarter and 7-4 at halftime.
- Maine Maritime outscored the Broncos 7-0 in the third quarter, led by Reddington with three goals during a 4:16 span, to go ahead 11-7.
- Nichol fed Reddington for his second tally in that stretch to put MMA ahead for good, 8-7, at the 6:16 mark.
- The Mariners led by as many as six goals, 13-7, after a Nichol tally at 9:54 in the fourth.
- Delhi wouldn't go away, however, as Lazazzaro ignited a 4-0 run in about 3 minutes to pull the visitors within 13-11 at the 5;16 mark.
- Nichol added an insurance marker at 2:03 to put MMA up by three, 14-11.
