CASTINE, Maine — The North Atlantic Conference announced its 2025 women's soccer preseason coaches' poll Thursday, with Maine Maritime Academy picked third.
The Mariners received 75 points, trailing reigning NAC champion Husson University, the preseason favorite with 97 points and nine first-place votes. Lesley University was second with 90 points and the remaining first-place tally.
SUNY Delhi was fourth with 71 points, followed by the University of Maine at Farmington in fifth with 61 points. Vermont State University Johnson was sixth with 51 points, followed by Thomas College (43), the University of Maine at Presque Isle (31), SUNY Cobleskill (21) and Vermont State University Lyndon (10).
Maine Maritime opens the season Friday, Aug. 29, at the University of Maine at Fort Kent. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
