MANHEIM, Pa. — The National Wrestling Coaches Association announced its annual scholarship recipients and Maine Maritime Academy Women's Wrestling coach Lamar Reed was selected as one of the recipients.
Reed earned a full scholarship to attend the NWCA CEO Collegiate Leadership Academy in July.
All coaches who apply for the scholarship program must go through an extensive review process by a selection committee. Only the "best of the best" coaches are awarded the full scholarships.
Reed was a member of a select group that received the honor. The NWCA has invested over $1,000,000 into the development and implementation of a comprehensive CEO leadership development program designed to help college coaches sharpen their CEO skills and/or to promote "best practices" for improving academic performance.
