CASTINE, Maine — The Maine Maritime Academy men's soccer team returned to action Friday evening, falling 2-0 to Fisher College in non-conference play.
Fisher (4-0-1) came out strong in the first half, controlling possession and scoring midway through the period for a 1-0 lead at the break. The Falcons finished the opening frame with a 7-1 shot advantage, including two shots on goal, while Maine Maritime (1-1-3) was held to just one attempt.
In the second half, the Mariners pushed the tempo and controlled possession early, generating a couple of good looks at the Fisher net, but both attempts sailed just high. MMA finished with four second-half shots.
