CASTINE, Maine — Maine Maritime Academy used a balanced offensive attack and stifling defense to dominate Lesley University, rolling to an 83-24 North Atlantic Conference victory on Saturday afternoon at Smith Gymnasium.
The Mariners (14-7 overall, 13-2 NAC) jumped on Lesley from the opening tip and never looked back, outscoring the Lynx in each quarter and building a commanding lead en route to the win.
Senior guard
Grace Huntwork led Maine Maritime with a game-high 21 points on an efficient 8-of-12 shooting performance, including five 3-pointers that kept the pressure on the Lesley defense.

Evelyn Dagan added 12 points, hitting four triples, while senior
Jacquelin Castro chipped in 11, going 3-for-4 from the floor and scoring efficiently from inside.
Freshman
Savannah Ferguson provided a spark off the bench with 18 points, showcasing depth and scoring punch for the Mariners.
Maine Maritime's defense held Lesley to just 24 points on 18 percent shooting for the game, forcing turnovers and limiting opportunities throughout. The Mariners also controlled the glass, finishing with 52 rebounds to Lesley's 22.
With the victory, Maine Maritime continues to solidify its position atop the NAC standings and maintain momentum down the stretch of the season.
