WELLESLEY, Mass. — Maine Maritime Academy men's swimming & diving senior
Oliver Cox made history Thursday night becoming the first diver in program history to win back-to-back 3-meter diving championships after winning the 3-meter diving event at the Little East Conference Championship on the opening day.
Cox, who won the title last season, dominated Thursday evening posting a score of 219.00, beating Cooper Niles of Keene State College by over 50 points with a score of 166.25.
Sophomore
Michael Ordonez also competed in the event, finishing fourth with a score of 149.75 showcasing the Mariners diving depth.
Maine Maritime returns for day 2 of the LEC championship on Friday with events getting underway at 10 a.m.
