NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Little East Conference announced its end of the year men's swimming & diving awards on Sunday and Maine Maritime Academy senior
Oliver Cox was named diver of the year while freshman
B Boyer was crowned rookie swimmer of the year.
Cox, earned his second-straight LEC diver of the year honor after winning the 3-meter diving and 1-meter diving events at the four-day LEC championship meet. Cox became the first diver in program history to win back-to-back diving titles in one event and added to his impressive career resume with back-to-back 3-meter and 1-meter honors.
Boyer took home rookie swimmer of the year honors after opening the meet by winning the 500 freestyle and capped off the weekend winning the 1,650 freestyle.
