Mary Smith competed at the NCAA Region 1 Championship on Saturday.
Thesing competed for the Mariners at 160 getting a bye in her opening match before falling by pin in her opening bout of the day. In her second match, Thesing was tied 4-4 in the second period before falling by pin.
Smith, who wrestled a 145 won her opening match by fall in the first period over Melina Georgas before falling by pin in her second bout.
Smith battled tough, winning by fall in the second period over Angel Upright in her third match before falling by medical forfeit in her fourth matchup to conclude the season for the Mariners.
