CASTINE, Maine — The Maine Maritime Academy women's soccer team added another commitment to its 2026 recruiting class, as Logan Townsend has committed to play for the Mariners this upcoming season.
Townsend joins the Mariners from Blue Hill, Maine, where she attended George Stevens Academy and played four years of varsity soccer.
In addition to playing high school soccer, Townsend also competed in track and field, earning national junior Olympian status and holds a school record.
A left forward, Townsend earned PVC second-team honors and totaled 16 goals as a junior and 13 as a senior.
A captain, Townsend is a 4.0 National Honor Society student.
"I am so excited to announce my commitment to Maine Maritime Academy and my commitment to play soccer at the D3 level," Townsend said. "Thank you to family and coaches: I'd like to thank all my coaches for helping me get to where I am now and I like to thank my family for supporting me through everything, especially my twin sister for being my biggest fan."
While at MMA, Townsend plans to study marine biology.
