CASTINE, Maine — The Maine Maritime Academy men's lacrosse team put together a complete team win on Wednesday cruising to a 23-8 win over Thomas College in North Atlantic Conference action while recognizing its five seniors pregame.
Maine Maritime (6-4, 2-0 NAC) started off slow in the opening quarter, but ended the quarter with a 9-2 lead and never looked back. After Thomas (6-4, 1-1 NAC) tied the game 1-1 freshman

Tobey Lappin took over, combining for six goals, while junior

Cole Michaud added goals.
Senior
Trey Marcil got going in the second quarter for the Mariners scoring two goals and becoming the sixth player in program history to eclipse 200 career points for their career. Additionally, sophomore
Tristan Reinhold added his second goal of the game and helped MMA take a 13-4 lead at the half.
The Mariners closed out the game on a 10-4 run added by freshman
Calvin Johnson's first collegiate hat trick.
Marcil finished with a game-high six goals, one assist, six ground balls and two caused turnovers, while Parent racked up a five-goal, four-assist, nine-point performance.
Lappin posted a four-goal, two-assist evening, while Crowell, Johnson, Reinhold, Michaud and freshman
Randall Walker all scored. Additionally, Walker dished out two assists, while Reinhold, Crowell, junior
Matthew Villeneuve and freshman
Connor Harvey each added assists.
Crowell dominated on the faceoff for the Mariners going 22-32 with 13 ground balls, while junior
John Martin racked up eight ground balls. MMA finished the night with 63 ground balls and 15 caused turnovers.
Sophomore
Ben Kieu and senior
Will Farrell split time in cage, Kieu tallied seven saves in 30 minutes picking up the win, while Farrell posted eight saves.
The Mariners return to action on Saturday when they travel to Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts for a noon conference matchup.
