WATERVILLE, Maine — The North Atlantic Conference announced its women's soccer preseason coaches' poll on Wednesday and Maine Maritime Academy was picked third.

The 2025 NAC runner-up finished with 52 points and one first-place vote, trailing last season's conference champion Lesley University who finished first with 61 points and five first-place tallies, followed by Husson University who ranked second with 54 points and two first-place votes.

Vermont State University Johnson and the University of Maine at Farmington finished tied for fourth with 36 points each, while Thomas College ranked sixth with 24 points, followed by the University of Maine at Presque Isle (17) and Vermont State University Lyndon (8).

The Mariners open their season on the road Sept. 1 against the University of Maine at Augusta with start time scheduled for 4 p.m.
