LEWISTON, Maine — Maine Maritime Academy men's soccer dropped a 1-0 decision to Bates College on the road Wednesday night at Russell Street Track and Field.
The Mariners were held scoreless despite putting five shots toward goal. Maine Maritime had one shot on goal, while Bates finished with 19 shots, including seven on goal.
Senior
Reagan Moynihan made six saves in 90 minutes in goal for the Mariners, including five in the second half. Moynihan kept Bates off the scoreboard through the opening 81 minutes before the Bobcats struck for the game winner.
Sophomore
Garrison Fisher recorded Maine Maritime's lone shot on goal, while senior
James Baur added three shots for the Mariners, while senior
Dillon Wilkinson had one and recorded another attempt later in the second half.
The Mariners return to action on Saturday on the road against Vermont State University Lyndon beginning at 11:15 a.m.
