CASTINE, Maine — The Maine Maritime Academy men's soccer team battled Saint Joseph's College of Maine to a 1-1 draw Friday afternoon at Ritchie Field.
After trailing 1-0 at halftime, the Mariners found the equalizer early in the second half. Senior
Hunter Crea scored his first goal of the season in the 49th minute, finishing a play set up by sophomore
Piercen Fisher.
Maine Maritime continued to apply pressure throughout the second half, recording four of its six shots after halftime and earning three corner kicks midway through the half. The Mariners finished the match with seven corner kicks.
Senior
Reagan Moynihan played all 90 minutes in goal for Maine Maritime and made two saves, one in each half.
Crea led the Mariners with the team's lone shot on goal and added the equalizer, while Fisher registered the assist. Senior

The Mariners return to action on Saturday when they battle the United States Coast Guard Academy on the road in a neutral site match at the University of Southern Maine beginning at 5 p.m.
