What made you come to Maine Maritime Academy?: Having an opportunity to play volleyball and study what I love.
What first got you interested in your sport?: A teacher in middle school.
What has been your favorite class at MMA?: Marine Zoology.
What is the best advice your coach has given you?: Calm down, you're going to be just fine.
What motivates you to succeed?: My little brother back home.
What is your prized possession?: My Grandmother's Rosary.
What is your favorite book? (Non-academic): The Hunger Games Trilogy.
What is something that people would be surprised to learn about you?: I love carbs, they make up my soul.
What are your hopes for the future?: Be able to see the world.
What is your favorite spot in Castine/on Campus? Why?: Dyce Head, it's always so calm and the sunsets are beautiful there.
What advice do you have for incoming freshman?: Don't put so much pressure on yourself as a freshman. Even though it's hard to realize, no one is expecting you to play like you're a senior going for their 1000th point. You have four more years to get better. Just make sure you make the most of that time.
Which teammate has had the biggest impact on you? Why?: Catherine Mahoney. I could write you a novel about how amazing she is. We instantly became friends the first day of preseason freshman year. We helped each other figure out MMA together and having each other in the very demanding program of Ocean Studies freshman year was necessary to keeping eachother sane. We will be life long friends and I'm grateful for that.
