What made you come to Maine Maritime Academy? The opportunities to travel and the hands-on aspects of the education made my decision to go here very easy.
What first got you interested in your sport? I grew up playing hockey, and lacrosse was very similar, so I played. My hometown team and coaches kept me involved and in love with the sport.
What has been your favorite class at MMA? Diesels Lab is super cool because it is so hands on and specific in content.
What is the best advice your coach has given you? Coach D consistently reminds us to play solid fundamental defense by playing the body. It’s always good to return to the basics.
What motivates you to succeed? I just want to get hype with the boys, and winning is definitely a good reason to get excited.
What is your prized possession? My prized possession is my Eagle Scout pin.
What is your favorite book? (Non-academic) I was a big Percy Jackson fan back in the day.
What is something that people would be surprised to learn about you? I hate Chinese food.
What are your hopes for the future? I just want a nice log cabin home on a lake near Sugarloaf and an active, happy family.
What is your favorite spot in Castine/on Campus? Why? My favorite spot in Castine is the backshore at sunset.
What is a cause that is important to you? I think that all youth sports are very important in the development of kids. It keeps them out of trouble and provides them with a time and place to learn the skills necessary for being part of a team.
Tell us about a summer experience related to MMA? Cruise was unreal. Alicante, Spain, Tenerife, Cobh, Ireland and Halifax, Nova Scotia were all amazing places to explore.
Tell us about something you are involved with here at MMA? Being a part of the band is pretty cool. Music is definitely something that I always enjoyed back home.
