WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Julia Dillon (Norway, Maine) led Maine Maritime Academy women's cross country to a 40th place finish, out of 46 teams, at the ECAC Championship hosted by Williams College.
Dillon placed 181st out of 311 runners with a time of 27:45, on the 6k course. Mary Shea (Brownfield, Maine) placed 228th (29:06), followed closely by Sierra James (Campton, N.H.) in 231st (29:09), Elin Sonesson (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) in 305th (34:32), Alice Stenquist (Bath, Maine) in 307th (36:05), and Sarah Nevin (Dewitt, N.Y.) in 311th (42:06).
Tufts claimed the overall team victory, while University of New England's Tiana Thomas won the race with a time of 22:54.
The Mariners will return to action next Saturday, November 14th at the NCAA DIII Regional Championships hosted by Connecticut College at Harkness Park in Waterfort, Conn.
