CASTINE, Maine – Maine Maritime Academy women's lacrosse stumbled against Thomas College on Wednesday evening, falling 20-0 in North Atlantic Conference play at Ritchie Field.

Rachael Redles (Coopersburg, Pa.) led the Mariners with three shots on goal, and Briana Obshatkin (Dedham, Mass.) scooped up a team-high three ground balls, while Ashlee Knight (Anson, Maine) recorded eight saves in net for the Mariners. 

Jennifer Day led the Terriers with eight goals, three ground balls and three caused turnovers, while Sophia LaValle and Brittany Premo added hat trick performances. Joanna Murch picked up a game-best five ground balls and Brittany Fox stopped all six shots she faced in net for Thomas.

Maine Maritime falls to 0-5 on the year and 0-2 in North Atlantic Conference play, while Thomas improves to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the NAC.

The Mariners look to rebound this weekend when they travel to Vermont to take on Green Mountain College on Friday night at 5:30 p.m. The North Atlantic Conference game will be held at Castleton State College, inside of Spartan Stadium.
