CASTINE, Maine – Olivia Harriman '23 (Orrington, Maine) was named Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach by Director of Athletics and Head Women's Lacrosse Coach Steve Peed on Tuesday.

Harriman played four years of lacrosse for the Mariners. She was selected as a team captain in her sophomore, junior and senior seasons and was a two-time All-North Atlantic Conference (NAC) selection on attack, earning Second Team honors as a junior and First Team recognition following her senior season. Harriman was an Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Academic Honor Roll selection as well as a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection.

"I couldn't be more excited to welcome Olivia back into the program," said Peed. "No one worked harder to develop herself as a lacrosse player than Olivia and she shared those lessons with players who are newer to the game all along the way."

Prior to Maine Maritime, Harriman played field hockey and softball at John Bapst High School, which did not have a girl's lacrosse team at the time.
Harriman graduated from Maine Maritime in December 2023 with a degree in Vessel Operations Technology and is prepared to sit for her 1,600 mates near coastal license. She has done extensive work in tug and barge operations and on offshore platforms.

"I am very grateful for this opportunity and excited to give back to the team and program that supported me through my four years at the Academy," said Harriman.

Harriman will work with athletes on individual skill development and assist in developing scouting reports and video analysis.
