COBLESKILL, N.Y. — The Maine Maritime Academy men's golf team finished fourth overall in the final round of the North Atlantic Conference Championship on Sunday at Cobleskill Golf Club.

The Mariners jumped SUNY Cobleskill on the final day to post a 318 for the round and 653 for the two-day event. SUNY Delhi captured the conference championship with a 603, followed by Husson University (611), Lesley University (646) and SUNY Cobleskill (659) to round out the top five.

The Mariners were led by junior Mac McCarthy, who finished ninth with a 15-over-par 155, followed by sophomore Nicholas Villella, who posted a 17-over-par 157 to finish tied for 11th.

Freshman Nathan Baker carded a 171 to place 23rd, while fellow freshman Xavier Bellerose posted a 173 to round out Maine Maritime's top four finishers.

Junior Brady Bumford closed out the lineup with a 178 as the Mariners concluded the fall portion of their schedule.
