BREWSTER, Mass. — The Maine Maritime Academy men's golf team returned to the course on Saturday competing in the Cape Cod Invitational hosted by Saint Joseph's College of Maine at The Captains Course.
The Mariners opened the day shooting a 56-over par 344 over the opening 18 holes and finished third before Emmanuel College and SJC.
However, MMA improved over the final 18 holes carding a 34-over par 322 to win the second round of the day by one stroke over Emmanuel and jump Saint Joseph's for second on the leaderboard.
Sophomore
Anthony Picano finished tied for third with a 161, finishing second overall over the final 18 holes with a 78.
Freshman
Nathan Baker posted a 164 to finish sixth, followed by junior Mac McCarty at 169, sophomore
Evan Duprey (174) and freshman
Xavier Bellerose (176) concluded the 36-hole event.
The Mariners close out their 2025-26 season on Saturday and Sunday in Delhi, New York.
