WATERVILLE, Maine — The North Atlantic Conference announced its pre-championship coaches' poll on Thursday, and the Maine Maritime Academy men's golf team was picked fourth overall.
The Mariners earned 42 points, finishing one point behind Lesley University for the No. 3 spot. Husson University was selected as the pre-championship favorite with 61 points and five first-place votes, while SUNY Delhi received the remaining three first-place tallies and finished second with 59 points.
Following Maine Maritime, SUNY Cobleskill was picked fifth with 35 points, the University of Maine at Farmington sixth with 21, the University of Maine at Presque Isle seventh with 18, and Vermont State University Johnson rounded out the poll with nine points.
