CASTINE--The Maine Maritime Academy women's basketball team celebrated Senior Day 2025 with a 96-37 victory over visiting UMaine-Presque Isle at Smith Gymnasium on Saturday. The Mariners' senior class of

Makenzie Monzon and Erianna Moore started the game and combined for 39 points to set the tone for the afternoon.
The Mariners improve to 20-4 overall and 13-0 in the North Atlantic Conference East Division, while the visiting Owls drop to 4-18 on the season and 3-9 in the NAC-East.
Maine Maritime Highlights
- Junior Evelyn Dagan came off the bench to score a game-high 17 points on 6-for-12 field goal shooting, including five 3-pointers. She also had three rebounds.
- Briscoe tallied 16 points on perfect shooting (5-5 FGs, 6-6 FTs) to go along with eight rebounds and two steals.
- Grindel recorded five points, four rebounds and two assists.
- Link notched season highs of 10 points and five rebounds while tying her career best of three assists.
- Monzon had three points, two rebounds and two assists.
- Moore scored five points, grabbed nine rebounds and led all student-athletes with 11 assists for a season high.
- Sophomore Hailey Blanchard (3 blocked shots) added 16 points on five 3-pointers and junior Grace Huntwork scored 11 both off the bench.
- Freshman Addison Forry (5 points, 5 rebounds, 2 blocks) contributed a game-high four steals in just 11 minutes.
UMPI Highlights
- Alexis Ireland posted a double-double with 12 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
- Anaira Ayala netted 11 points and pulled down six rebounds.
How it Happened
- Maine Maritime never trailed while taking a 22-11 lead after the first quarter and then broke the game open with a 23-5 second quarter to assume a commanding 45-16 advantage at halftime.
- The Mariners shot 48.6 percent from the field (34-70) and held the Owls to a 24.6 clip (14-57).
- The Owls were outrebounded 50 to 31 and 20 turnovers translated to 19 points for MMA.
- The Maine Maritime bench outscored UMPI's 57-5.
- The Mariners MADE as many three-point field goals as the Owls ATTEMPTED (19).

- The Mariners have had four 20-win seasons in a row and nine overall in the Craig Dagan coaching helm of 24 seasons.
