Caitlyn Lamb added a career-high five, to lead the Maine Maritime Academy women's lacrosse squad to a resounding 14-2 victory Wednesday over Thomas College in the North Atlantic Conference opener at Smith Field. Maine Maritime raises its overall record to 5-1 while riding a five-game winning streak. Thomas, meanwhile, falls to 1-4 on the season.
Maine Maritime Highlights
- Junior goalie Ella Bowes was credited with four saves in the win, playing the first 41 minutes and 40 seconds.
- Sophomore Lillian Diversi chipped in three goals.
- Stoddard finished with two goals and a game-best five assists, while Lamb posted a hat trick and two helpers.
- Senior Kirra Magana and junior Rebecca Caron both had two goals and an assist. Magana also recorded a game-high nine draw controls.
- Freshman Hadley Stoddard, who is the reigning NAC Player and Rookie of the Week, also enjoyed a multi-point game with a pair of goals.

- Isabella Pelletier and Emily Wallingford scored for the Terriers.
- Bristol Sine made 10 stops in goal, earned two ground balls and had a game-high-tying two caused turnovers.
How it Happened
- Maine Maritime raced out to a 7-0 first-quarter advantage and was never threatened after that.
- Diversi, Magana and Caron scored 2:44 apart by the 9:29 mark of the opening stanza to provide all the offense the Mariners would need.
- Maine Maritime led 10-0 at the halftime break.
- Wallingford put Thomas on the scoreboard with 10:15 remaining left in the third quarter.
- Maine Maritime also had statistical advantages in shots (31-10), draw controls (15-3), clears (8-8 to 10-15) and turnovers (9-13).
