CASTINE, Maine — The Maine Maritime Academy football program announced the addition of
Will Marable on Tuesday as its new special teams and wide receivers coach.
Marable brings more than a decade of coaching experience across NCAA Division II, Division III, NJCAA, and prep levels. He most recently served as the special teams coordinator and defensive backs coach at Highland Community College.

Nick Sheehan said. "He's the kind of coach who's going to connect with our guys right away and help push our program forward."
Prior to his time at Highland, Marable held coaching stints at Milford Prep Academy as defensive coordinator, Alderson Broaddus University, and Snow College, working primarily with defensive backs.
He also coached defensive backs at Juniata College and North Carolina Wesleyan College, and spent two years at Elizabeth City State University as defensive backs coach and recruiting coordinator. Marable began his coaching career at Ellsworth Community College as a defensive line and strength & conditioning coach during the 2015 and 2016 seasons.
"I'm exited to join the staff at Maine Maritime Academy to help the young men in their endeavors in football and in life," Marable said. "I'm also exited to be a part of Coach Sheehan's first tenure as head coach at the Academy.Â
A former collegiate cornerback and safety at West Virginia University, Marable lettered two years as a defensive back and was part of the Mountaineers' 2011 Orange Bowl Championship team. He earned his Bachelor of Science in sport and exercise psychology from West Virginia in 2014.
