CASTINE, Maine — The Maine Maritime Academy men's soccer team unveiled its 2025 schedule on Tuesday, featuring 16 games — including nine home matchups.
"Our players and coaching staff are incredibly excited for the upcoming 2025 season!" said head men's soccer coach Billy Shannon. "We're ready to get back on Richie Field, build upon the strong foundation and experience of our returning roster, and integrate our new first-year players into our team culture and style of play. We're excited to officially welcome them into our Mariner family!"
"Our 2025 schedule includes two solid exhibitions and a rigorous slate of non-conference fixtures — tough matches that will hopefully prepare us well for North Atlantic Conference play, a strong run in the NAC tournament, and our program's first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance," Shannon added.
The Mariners open the season with back-to-back road games, beginning against in-state foe the University of New England on Aug. 29, followed by a trip to Plymouth State University on Sept. 6.
MMA returns home to host Central Maine Community College on Sept. 7 to open Richie Field, kicking off a five-game homestand. That stretch includes back-to-back NAC matchups against SUNY Cobleskill and SUNY Delhi on Sept. 13 and 14, respectively.
Fisher College visits Castine on Sept. 19, followed by an in-state showdown against the University of Southern Maine on Sept. 23.
Following the USM match, the Mariners travel to face reigning NAC champion Thomas College on Sept. 27 followed by the University of Maine at Farmington on Oct. 4, before returning home to host the University of Maine at Fort Kent on Oct. 8.
Maine Maritime then heads to Vermont for back-to-back road games against Vermont State University Lyndon and Vermont State University Johnson on Oct. 11 and 12, respectively.
The Mariners will close out the regular season with three out of their final four games at home. Colby College visits on Oct. 14, followed by the University of Maine at Presque Isle on Oct. 18 and the final road game of the season at Lesley University on Oct. 19, before the regular-season finale against Husson University on Oct. 25.
