WATERVILLE, Maine — The Maine Maritime Academy men's golf team competed at the UMF Invitational on Sunday, hosted by the University of Maine at Farmington at Waterville Country Club.
The Mariners finished with a team score of 329, trailing Colby College, which placed third with 311, and Husson University and the University of Southern Maine, which tied for the top spot at 306.
Junior
Mac McCarthy led MMA, finishing eighth with a round of 78, while sophomore
Evan Duprey shot an 80 to place 15th. Freshman
Nathan Baker added an 85, and junior
Brady Bumford rounded out the scoring golfers with an 86.
Additionally, sophomore
Nicholas Villella carded an 87 to close out Maine Maritime's showing.
The Mariners return to action Tuesday when they host the Mariners Invitational at Augusta Country Club in Manchester, Maine.
