MANCHESTER, Maine — The Maine Maritime Academy men's golf team carded a season-low 315 to finish fifth overall at the Mariners Invite, hosted by MMA at Augusta Country Club on Tuesday.
Despite rain over the final nine holes of Tuesday's event, freshman
Nathan Baker led the Mariners with a season-low 75 (five over par) to record his first top-10 finish.
Junior Mac Carthy finished with a score of 79 (nine over), while sophomore
Nicholas Villella posted an 80 (10 over).

Brady Bumford was the Mariners' final scoring golfer, posting an 81 (11 over). Freshman
Xavier Bellerose added an 83, while senior Jonathon Viens, competing as an individual, tallied a 93.
The Mariners return to action Thursday in Aroostook County at the University of Maine at Presque Isle Invite, hosted at Presque Isle Country Club.
